Donation from GoodSearch.com
We received a check from GoodSearch.com for the amount of internet searches and purchases made through their site. The check was for only $8.78, however this could be much larger with more people helping us. For myself, I did most of my searches on their site, and bought a few items from Walgreens.com. I had to have the GoodSearch toolbar downloaded and running to make this work, but it is worth it for our cause.

ecycler.com
Just finished registering with ecycler.com. It's a very interesting concept where people can sign up to discard items, and others can sign up to pick them up. It's a neat idea, and I hope it has a lot of success.

First Recycling Bin Placed
Our organization has a national focus, however we do even more in our local area when possible. We received 25 cardboard recycling bins, with liners, from "The Aluminum Association" to help with our recycling drive. First Baptist Church in West Bend, Wisconsin, has graciously allowed us to place one of our bins in their church's multi-purpose room. We are very thankful for this opportunity.

South Post Oak Recycling
We are very pleased that South Post Oak Recycling in Houston, Texas, has volunteered to help with our Fall 2010 Recycling Drive. They have graciously offered to print and hand out flyers to their customers, and they have updated their website to help our cause. This is great news. A large portion of the donations received from the Houston area will be sent to homeless shelters or food pantries in their local area.
